Debbe Edwards class project

This project can be carved into many different kinds of cats

The roughout cost is $30. The class will cost $185

4 day Red Breasted Nuthatch class-Feb 5-8, 2018 


































Students will create a full detailed wood carving throughout the week. All students start with a tupalo wood cut-out. Josh will do a series of demonstrations that will teach students every aspect of carving and painting a realistic bird. Josh will teach his techniques on achieving soft bird like feathers that have made him an award winning sculptor.  Josh instructs with power tools. Students are welcome to use knives or other tools if that is what they are comfortable with. The class generally runs from 8am- 5pm daily. There will be approxitamly three days of carving and one day of painting.
A study cast will also be provided to use throughout the class and can be purchased at the end if desired.
Student who do not have time to finish their piece will be able to paint the cast.

There will be a $20 material fee which will includes wood cut out, eyes, paint, pattern and reference materials. A study cast will also be provided to use throughout the class and can be purchased if desired.

The cost of the 3 day carving class is $185 plus $20 in materials.

The cost of the 1 day painting class is $40
