The 22nd Desert Woodcarving Show was a great event.  YES, the winners are FINALLY posted.  Plan on attending the 23rd Desert Woodcarving Show February  18-19, 2012.  We will have more exciting activities and demonstrations.  Remember that entries are due on Friday, February 17, 2012.  Please come between 11 am and 3 pm.  Judging begins after 3 pm Friday.

The 23rd Desert Woodcarving Show & Sale will be held on February 18 and 19,  2012. 

We have added a new category for entries not predominately made of wood, such as gourds, soapstone or other stone carvings, mixed wood with other medium.  See the individual competition level pages for the appropriate category number.

The judges for this year will be Pete LeClair, Pat Moore, and J Christopher White.  Each of the judges will be offering classes.  See the seminars page for details of these 2012 seminars.  The judges for the Novice and Youth levels are Don Allman, Lupe Cavanaugh and Colleen Kelly.

Details for the 2012 Club Competition ARE posted.  The theme is "Arizona Centennial".

 

 

Admission:  $5 donation.  Young adults under 14 free.

Location:  Mesa Centennial Hall is located at 201 N. Center St., Mesa (SE corner of University Dr and Center St)

The Desert Woodcarving Show & Sale is held in conjunction with the Excellence in Woodworking show produced by the Arizona Association of Fine Woodworkers.  One donation allows you to see TWO great shows.
