Seminars

This year we are pleased to have three seminars for you to choose from.  Our judges are Pat Moore, Pete LeClair and J Christopher White.  Pete will be teaching TWO seminars this year. 

If you are interested in any of these great opportunities, please contact either of our show chairs or send in a completed seminar registration form which is on a separate page.

Appropriate information and maps will be provided to seminar participants upon registration.

Carve a Caricature Bottle Stopper

Pete will lead two seminars based on a bottle stopper project similar to the one shown below.  In these seminars Pete will take the participants step-by-step from the band sawed blank to a finished

Chris White Feb 20-22, 2012  
 
In this seminar participants will learn Chris’s unique carving and finishing techniques and style.  They will select their raw block of wood and Chris will help them bring out the stylized sculpture contained within.  Chris will share his masterful use of the grain patterns in the wood and the inherent shapes of the wood to assist you in the development of a memorable design and finished sculpture.
